A Dream I Dreamed - Yayoi Kusama Solo Exhibition is Yayoi Kusama's first Asia tour exhibition which covers her most recent works.
Yayoi Kusama, born in Nagano, 1929, is now acknowledged as one of the most important living artists in Japan and one of the most important contemporary artists in the world. Not only are her works highly appreciated as classics by contemporary arts circle, but loved by common audience. Her works have been exhibited constantly around the world and collected by more than 100 art museums around the world.
It is a great honor for MoCA, Shanghai to present this great contemporary artists' works to Chinese audience. This exhibition is quite inclusive of her representative works as well as her recent ones. It is an exhibition that actually demonstrates Yayoi Kusama's vigorous creativity throughout her life of arts.
